About 4 stages and the realized video game

This is the final version of Puedo Masticar video game. It has 4 stages only for lack of ideas. This is all video game. The player unlock each stage winning the previous stage. This is the menu:

I need to say you how to play Puedo Masticar. This game is about of bite not chewed parts of food and swallow chewed parts of food.

The first stage is more easy, the player must bite the candy only.

In the second stage, the food has one side for biting and one side for swallow.

The third stage is more difficult, the player must bite the center of the food.

The fourth stage is difficult too, the player must bite and swallow many times.

My first base stage and prototype

I don't have images about how was the first prototype with cubes and caspules only, but I can show you more or less how it is seen:

How I knew that the videogame must been a android video game I had to adapt all video game for android. In the beginning the food only moved if the teeth was moving, if the teeth wasn't moving the food will not been moving. The cubes of the teeth was to identify where was the zone that the teeth was biting the food, and for identify where was the zone that the teeth swallow the food.

The video game had buttons in the screen, I was thinking that it would work, but it didn't, In that case I tried to make move the teeth with two fingers to out of the screen for open it and with two fingers to inward of the screen for close it.

The art that I did

For this video game, like make 3D objects was very difficult, I made 2D images. The art style was and is very similar to Maniac Mansion 2 Day of the Tentacle video game. All these drawings I made it with mouse and paint programm, giving it transparence behind photoshop. For lack of ideas I did 4 playable foods only, that I draw.

For identify the bite zone, the teeth has two yellow individual teeths and I added a line in the background for know where the player must to bite.

How would been the game in the beginning

In the beginning the plans about Puedo Masticar video game were differents. In the beginning the idea was make 3D teeth that cut the 3D food in pieces. The top part would been controled with a hand, and the bottom part would been controled with the other hand.

The cam would been moved for see the teeth and the food well. Also it would have had many foods for chew. When the food would been chew and Swallowed well, that it was only, the player would won the game.

For problems in making the teeth in 3D and food in 3D well, I decided make the game with images.

Introduction

I am a University SEK student, I am studying in the University the career of Video Game Design and Development. I have a little time left to graduate of this university career, it means I must have so much experience making video games.

My video game of this DevLog is a hypercasual. The Hypercasuals are very simple video games and it can make fun being basic.

My video game is about a teeth that must eat food pieces in correct way, with two options, bite or swallow.

This video game has lucky because it has a log that I will show you in this blog for show my advances. This is my first part:

I started with a only one objective in the workshop 4 class that was search in YouTube videos where people explain how to cut objects according to where is cut in 3D objects, for cut the video game food with the video game teeth. This is the video:

But, after seeing it, I finally decided to make it in a more easy way, because making the denture cut the food well would be very late to realize.

In the next publication I will show you the first ideas of this video game, and how I was thinking about making it.
